The gulf of Lacona extends for more than a kilometre and offers one of the widest sandy shore of Elba Island. Lacona faces south, it is out of currents and its waters are very clear.
The beach is a safe place for every kind of activity, the seabed slopes down gently and it is particularly suitable for children. Nature in Lacona has been very generous, not only for the sea but also for the stretch close to the sandy area: the dunes, the perfumed bush of lentisks and myrtles, the luxuriant pinewood which spreads until the beach and offers shelter during the hottest days. Bagni Lacona is an appreciated and neat bathing establishment situated just opposite the Hotel and the Residence and it is reachable with a short walk of a hundred metres in the hotel park and luxuriant pinewood. Bagni Lacona offer sun beds, beach umbrellas, bathing cabins, showers with warm water and other services which make feel the guest comfortable all day long on the beach: lockers, storage of airbeds and games. The snack bar La Trottola and the restaurant Angiò give the opportunity to choose between complete menus or salads, sandwiches and other solutions.
There are many possibilities of amusement: canoe, pedalos, windsurf and sail. The bravest people can perform evolutions offshore by water scooters (the minimum nautical licence is required). The ones who prefer discovering further bays and exclusive creeks can rent boats.
It is possible to swim safely in the sea thanks to its shallow waters. Swimmers are protected by the lane for crafts. There is also the chance to perform exciting evolutions with a parachute towed by a motorboat, admiring form above the gulf of Lacona, one of the most beautiful of the Island.
Bagni Lacona offer a playground for children. Airbeds are available and also a pool behind the beach. During the day there is always a lifeguard, so children can play safely in the water.

Blue Immersion Diving Centre makes use of the most modern technologies. It is situated in Lacona, on the beach of Margidore, and has a place for laying up boats and an equipment washing tank, a large locker, toilets. The centre has a boat of 13,4 metres inboards (2 motors cv turbo diesel, 3 cabins, toilet and kitchen), 70 oxygen bottles and new equipment for rent, 2 compressors to recharge the bottles and electronic local plant for Nitrox and Trimix mixtures. At Blue Immersion Diving Centre you can obtain any kind of scuba diving certificate, also for instructors, with CMAS-ANIS, CMAS-NADD, T.S.A. didactic and other specialities.
With Blue Immersion Diving Centre you can enjoy wonderful daily immersions, suggestive night and full day immersions, snorkelling. Exploring the seabed you can discover gorgonias, red corals, groupers, barracudas, dentex, lobsters, coloured sponges.
